Company History

1955

Kazuo Sugimura, the first president, established the Sugimura Laboratory.

1958

Commercialization of Japan’s first bladder-type accumulator.

1960

Company name changed to NIPPON ACCUMULATOR CO., LTD.

1975

Factory got the certification from the American Society of the Mechanical Engineers (A.S.M.E.).

1977

Recognized as “Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Certified Inspector” for Accumulators.

1979

Started sales of Dynac Gas Valve (Development 1974).

1981

DYNAC GAS VALVE which is furnished with NACOL Accumulator was sanctioned as safety device
for high pressure gas facilities. (by MITI 56th Safety Rule No. 102)

1983

Implement the fatigue test equipment for Accumulators.

1988

Recognized as “Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Certified Inspector” for safety valves

1993

Obtained ISO 9001 approval from LRQA.

Obtained Chinese “SAFETY QUALITY LICENCE”.

2000

Started sales of Piston Type Accumulator.

Started sales of the Accumulator with CE Marking in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive (P.E.D.)

The subsidiary company established under the name “JAPAN FLUID POWER EQUIPMENTS MFG. (SHANGHAI) LTD.” in China by the capital of 1.5 million U.S. dollars.

2011

Started sales of the stainless steel accumulators for high pressure (pressure: 50MPa, volume: 1L).

2013

Ibara Minami Factory started operation.

2015

Obtained Eco-Action 21

2017

Selected as Regional Future Leading Company by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, JAPAN.

2018

Started sales of ultra-high pressure (pressure: 85 MPa, volume: 1 L) accumulators.

2022

Developed NACOL Aqua Drive System “NADS Series.

2024

The company name was changed to NACOL CO., LTD.
