Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Law, JapanSafety InstructionsThroughout this catalogue, you will find the following signs meant to bring attention to crucial information.Strictly following this information serious injuries to the user and the people around them will be prevented. The following explains the extent of injury and damage if our products are treated improperly. The use of OXYGEN will result in an explosion of the accumulator. Use of Oxygen Strictly Prohibited. Charge the accumulator with DRY NITROGEN only. ※Please read through page 92and 93regarding several advices for customers.QCAUTION QWARNINGqDANGERqDANGER●Use the accumulator and its fittings below themaximum allowable working pressure. The hydraulic service pressure shall be limited below themaximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) of both of theaccumulator and its fitting. Any excess pressure may causedamage to one or both of the accumulator and its fitting. Therefore, install a pressure relief valve in the hydraulic circuitso that the hydraulic service pressure may not exceed theMAWP of the accumulator and its fitting. ●Do not weld, cut or grind any part of theaccumulator. There is a possibility to damage each equipment when ourproducts are given any thermal processing such as weldingetc, or any machine works such as cutting and grinding etc. ●Use the same thread size.If the unmatched threads (specification, diameter and pitch)are connected, it may create a possibility that the threadparts are damaged while the pressure is rising up.●Fasten the accumulator using clamps. If the accumulator is not fastened properly with pluralclamps, the piping and the connection between theaccumulator and the hydraulic piping may be damaged inevent of an earthquake or abnormal stress or vibration. After adjusting the axial lines of the Oil Port Valve Assemblyand the hydraulic piping on a straight line, connect theaccumulator body and the piping, and fix them in a way thatthe excessive stress cannot be applied on the eachconnection parts.●Use the special hanging tool to hang theaccumulator. If the accumulator is hung using only a coiling wire or rope, this may result in the accumulator being dropped.●Before disassembling, release the gas and the fluidpressure down to the atmospheric pressure. If the pressure of the nitrogen gas and the fluid in theaccumulator are not released down to the atmosphericpressure before it is disassembled, serious injuries may becaused not only from the liquid and the nitrogen gas butalso from the scattered parts.●Do not heat the accumulator. The pressure of nitrogen gas charged to the accumulator willincrease as the temperature rises. If the gas pressure in theaccumulator is increased by the heat and if it exceeds themaximum allowable working pressure, there appears apossibility of accumulator breakage.●Do not use the accumulator in the corrosiveenvironment. There is a possibility to damage the accumulator when it isused in the corrosive environment. If the parts which threads are rusted or damaged are used, there is a possibility that the thread parts are destroyed whilethe pressure is rising up, and dangerous.●While the user discharges the nitrogen gas, keep away the discharge port of the gas froma face, and let fresh air in the work area.If the nitrogen gas is discharged turning the discharge porttoward user's face, the energy from the high pressure gasor the scattered dusts due to the pressure may causeinjuries. Discharging the nitrogen gas in an airtight or asmall room may cause an oxygen deficiency and result inthe suffocation to the user. ●Before discarding the accumulator, disassemblethe parts completely and destroy them so thatthey may not be reassembled. Before discarding our products, discharge all the fluid andnitrogen gas completely down to the atmospheric pressure, remove the fluid and disassemble all parts. After confirmingthat those parts cannot be reassembled, hand over them to alicensed industrial waste service provider.QWARNINGNeither this warning nor notes cover all the cases. Before use an Accumulator, read amaintenance manual in detail. Always, please think about the safety first.●Please follow the handling manual and work using the knowledge of the person usually engaged inmachine operation. The operations not described in the handling manual should be performed under total responsibilityof the operator with the common sense of an engineer, and considering the safety.●For using the products safely, follow the law, code, and regulations promulgated at the place whereaccumulators will be installed.:If the DANGER sign is ignored, the user of the machine is in imminent danger whichwill result in serious or fatal injury.:If the WARNING sign is ignored, it could result in serious or fatal injury.:If the CAUTION sign is ignored, it could result in minor injuries or cause damage to theaccumulator or to its parts in use. Please contact our company when the order items and/or the quotation items are for the usages such as military weapon, nuclear power, and weapons of mass destruction. If the usages are for these purposes, the export shall be made afterobtaining approval of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Moreover, please do not deal with the enterprise and/or organization on the Foreign Users List provided by the JapaneseMinistry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
